Qualities of Teammates to Choose for Playing an Escape Room

Escape room games are a team challenge. You cannot finish the task when you are alone. Even if you are confident that you are smart enough to complete the challenges, you still need help from other people. Besides, the game requires different skills. You need someone excellent at solving puzzles. You also need a member who is an expert at hunting for clues. You even need a physically tough member who could help with the heavy lifting. If you want to make it on time, these are the qualities of the teammates you want to be in your team.

Good team player

Even the smartest person who does not cooperate with the team could be a liability. You need someone who will work with everyone in the group. It is not easy organising the members and it is even more difficult if a member hesitates to cooperate. Ensure that the team is on the same page before starting the game.

Optimistic

The last thing you want in a team member is someone who always has negative thoughts. It is not going to help you when you are running out of time. You need people who will keep pushing you to do better and make it until the end; otherwise, you will feel frustrated. You are trying everything to make it as far as possible, but you have another member trying to pull your spirits down.

Quick

Not everyone is smart in your team, and it is okay. However, you need everyone to move quickly. You only have one hour to end the game. With a slow teammate, everyone will get affected. As soon as you find the clue, everyone needs to run to the next station.

Does not play for credit

It is frustrating to have someone in your team who plays for credit. This person will most likely play to become the hero of the group instead of moving quickly so you can finish the challenges on time. The goal is to beat the time and not each other.

Process-oriented

Although it helps if you have a leader who will always let you focus on the goal of the game, it could also create the opposite result. Therefore, you need someone who does not worry much about the results, but on how you enjoy the entire experience. Due to time constraints, you tend to hurry things up and you forget to have fun. Even if you make it until the end, you do not feel satisfied and accomplished.

It might be difficult forming a team with members possessing all these qualities. However, you need to try forming a strong team. If not, you can at least discuss your strategy before playing and be on the same page. Make it clear whether you win or not; it is okay. You cannot blame each other if you fail to see things through. After forming the team, you can check out room escape games London offers and schedule your appointment.
